MOST WANTED Productions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we arrange to meet you?

If it would be helpful for you to make your decision based upon meeting us, of course. Just contact us and we'll be happy to schedule a time. Remember, you're more than welcome to visit us at Mulligan's Valley Pub in Coal Valley, IL for karaoke every Friday night from 9pm to 1am. You won't be expected to sing, but please introduce yourself to Jaimie.

Do you do any event planning or consultation?

When you contact us for booking we’ll discuss when to meet with you. We don’t claim to be wedding coordinators, but after ‘dj-ing’ so many receptions over the years, we feel rather qualified to do so. We prefer to go over all of the details of your whole day, in order to better provide just what you want.

References?

Of course. Check our reference and testimonial page. We are very proud of our references! That’s because they come from satisfied customers. Let Most Wanted Productions entertain at your next event, and you'll be so satisfied, you’ll want to add your name to our reference list.

How will the DJ be dressed?

Appearance is important that’s why we generally always wear tuxedo attire, however we ask you how you’d like your DJ dressed. We can dress casual, semi-formal or formal. There is no extra fee charged for formal attire. Tuxedo t-shirt available for a fee.

What time will your DJ show up at the party?

We show up early to set-up our equipment then dependant upon circumstances either remain at, or return to your event approximately one hour before your scheduled start time.

Is your DJ registered and insured?

A DJ that has taken the time to register and insure their company, demonstrates a serious business sense.

Do you take requests?

Yes! You & your guests will hear the music you want to hear and more importantly you won’t hear music you don’t want. We offer our FREE CONSULTATION to meet with you and discuss such details ahead of time.

What kind of equipment do you use?

MOST WANTED Productions uses professional audio equipment, some of which is the very same equipment used by many musicians and recording studios. Professional audio equipment, built to go on the road day in and day out. The equipment is housed in professional road cases for neatness & protection, and most importantly, professional presentation. Music sounds best when played through a high-end system, not just some high end home stereo.

Is there back up equipment, or a contingency plan if there’s some emergency or other unexpected circumstances?

Yes, we do have back up equipment, although it has never been needed, we have a contingency plan should something happen such as illness or accident.

Does your DJ know proper procedures and etiquette for your type of wedding or event?

A professional dj will be involved with the planning of your special day and will be prepared to handle all announcements, and generally conduct or orchestrate certain events.

What are the advantages of lighting?

Lighting sets the atmosphere & mood to any party. It really makes people want to dance. We have mood lighting for those special slow songs, and the fancy lights to set that club-like atmosphere. We can tailor our lighting system to fit each event’s needs & budget, however, our full lighting package is included with our one low price for your special day.

What is Karaoke?

Karaoke allows you & your guests to view the lyrics of a song on a TV screen & sing-a-long to some of your favorite tunes. It’s great for audience participation and can really add a great deal of live fun.

Can I afford MOST WANTED Productions?

Yes! Everyone shops for the best deal. That’s why Most Wanted Productions is more affordable than you’d expect. Compare those apples and oranges though. Look close at the details, and you’ll find you get top quality at competitive rates. REMEMBER: The DJ is the most important factor in the success of your event. Price should be your last consideration in looking for a DJ service.

Your price quote was for four hours, will you play longer?

Yes, longer playing time is always an option with Most Wanted. Because, who wants to quit having fun!

Should you tip the DJ and when do you pay?

Tipping is entirely up to you. If you know you were given a fair price and you’re pleased with the performance, then it’s always nice to say thanks. Payment in full is generally due the night services are rendered, unless contract stipulates otherwise.

Am I obligated to include the dj for dinner?

Of course you’re not obligated. This is one of those gray areas, where it’s considered a nice gesture since the dj often is there for a couple of hours before your guests, plus usually plays for four to six hours, and add an hour for packing up... makes for a long day, so feeding the dj is allowed and appreciated.
